TIVIZEN RECEIVER DELIVERS MOBILE DIGITAL TV DIRECTLY TO iPAD, iPHONE, and iPOD TOUCH FOR ON-THE-GO RECEPTION OF MOBILE DTV BROADCASTS
New Device to Feature 30-pin Connector, Flexible Antenna

Las Vegas, Nevada -- Jan 04, 2011 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- If there's one thing missing from the latest lineup of popular tablet computers, it's the ability to watch live broadcasts from local TV broadcasters so that you can keep up on the big game or a favorite show even when you aren't watching from the big screen at home. Later this year, consumers will be able to purchase the Tivizen receiver for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch -- an ingenious device that plugs directly into the Apple product's 30-pin connector to bring local Mobile DTV reception with you wherever you go.

With a flexible antenna designed to maximize reception, the direct-connect Tivizen receiver comes with a rechargeable battery and offers 2.5 hours of Mobile DTV playback. An improvement over the first Tivizen, which utilizes Wi-Fi communication between a device and the receiver, the plug-in version of the Tivizen insures that iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch viewers can always get access to locally-broadcast Mobile DTV channels.

"The tremendous success of the iPad shows that consumers are interested in mobile entertainment and information, and the addition of a Tivizen receiver will add yet another attraction for iPad and iPhone owners -- the ability to finally watch live TV without relying on the phone network or a Wi-Fi signal. With the new Tivizen, it's literally just plug-and-play to see local broadcasts," said Sunny Kim, Director of Marketing for Valups, manufacturer of the Tivizen and a global developer of devices that enable media consumption.

The new Tivizen is being introduced this week in the Mobile DTV TechZone of the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where it is one of a two dozen new Mobile DTV devices being introduced to retailers and the public. High-resolution photography of the new Tivizen is available for download at www.tinyurl.com/OMVCMedia on the "photos" tab.

Nearly 70 broadcasters throughout the United States are now transmitting Mobile DTV, an extension of their digital TV transmissions that adds the flexibility of mobile reception.  The Open Mobile Video Coalition of America's broadcasters, which funded part of the development of the Tivizen receiver, maintains a city-by-city listing of Mobile DTV channels on the "Signal Map" tab of www.OMVC.org for consumers who want to find out local broadcast plans for Mobile DTV in their area.

The new Tivizen Model iUS-100 will be available in June at a suggested retail price of $99 and requires a free application downloaded from the Apple App store to operate. The new plug-in Tivizen joins the family of other Valups products including the Wi-Fi Tivizen that is also expected to be available later this year. Valups Tivizen receivers are used throughout the world to add the convenience of TV service to smartphones and computers that don't already come equipped with mobile TV reception capability.
