| Notes to Reporters: |
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read this. Given that this is a debut, I could use the publicity and possibly access to better recording facilities. More songs are planned for the latter half of this year, to continue where this album leaves off and a bit of exposure might enable me to migrate past the current lo-fi arrangements. The tracks themselves have been well received by smaller audiences and it will be interesting to see how well they do. Your support is crucial to getting this piece an audience, and I hope you will take the time to check it out. Your time is appreciated. Thank you for listening! Sincerely, Kalyan Dudala |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information, contact: Kalyan Dudala 39 Sickles St, New York, New York 10040 Phone: 515 707 9063 Email: Kalyan.Dudala@gmail.com URL: www.soundclick.com/wouldyoupleasestoptalking DEBUT RELEASE ON ITUNES AND OTHER MAJOR ONLINE MUSIC OUTLETS New York June 11th, 2008 On June 12, 2008, "Dilettante" will release a debut CD, titled "Monkeys, Whores, and Troubadours". This album will be available in high quality mp3 format at the Itunes store ( www.itunes.com) as well as other major online music retailers including Rhapsody (www.rhapsody.com), Amazon MP3 (www.amazon.com/mp3), and Emusic.com (www.emusic.com ). Combining electric riffs with the sensibilities of 1960's folk music, the music is built around vivid characters whose stories are the primary focus of this work. Drawing from a rich history of discontent, several tracks are a tribute to the music of the 60's. Alternately searing and soothing, the music is emotionally charged and offers a window into our post post-modern life in a manner both unique and engaging. Conceived as a solo project by Kalyan Dudala, a New Yorker by way of India and Iowa, this release represents the culmination of an intense creative phase that birthed the majority of the material on the album. The Track listing is as follows: 1) Sunburn 2) Bitter Bhajan 3) Never Really Mine 4) Acrobat 5) Exit 6) Space 7) Chai 8) Bleed 9) Circus |
